Tournament Game Play Rules and Regulations

  • By participating in this tournament, all players acknowledge the final authority of the host to resolve any disputes. The host may delegate this authority to a knowledgeable player.

  • Once eliminated, find the host so he can track the tournament departures.

  • When a level change is announced, hands that are underway are concluded before the blinds increase at that table. A hand is considered underway immediately after the previous hand has ended, i.e. after the pot has been awarded.

  • When moving a player to fill in a short-handed table, the host identifies the donor table. The host then moves the player who is in possession of the dealer button. If the new player is seated in a place where a blind is due, the player is to post this blind.

  • When enough players have been eliminated to allow the formation of the final table (8 players) the clock stops and all remaining players draw for seats. Eight cards will be drawn ace thru 10. The ace is the dealer, the 2 is the small blind, and the 3 is the big blind. Players at the final table must post blinds regardless of their position at their previous tables.

  • Official Tournaments WILL NOT end by chopping the pot.

  • The minimum raise is the amount of the previous bet or raise.

  • There is no cap on the number of raises.

  • If two or more cards are dealt face-up, the entire hand is re-dealt.

  • If the small blind or big blinds are dealt a card face-up, the entire hand is re-dealt.

  • If you show a card to another player, you must show everyone at the table.

  • Players may not chop the blinds.

  • In case of a split pot, the odd chip is awarded to the player closest to the dealer's left.

  • Place all blinds and bets in front of you. Once the pot is right, push chips into center of table.

  • No “String Betting.” All bets must be announced “Raise” or “Call” etc. A verbal declaration MUST be made before a player moves chips forward; otherwise rules for physical intent apply (a call).

  • Players are prohibited from communicating any advice during a hand and after you muck your cards, do not announce what you had or how your hand would have played out after the flop.

Official Tournaments

Official tournaments are announced and open to all players. An official tournament must have at least 10 players for points to count towards the standings. A maximum of two official tournaments will take place in any given evening. Other tournaments will not count towards the official standings.
